German Stamp Proof Mark Eagle over N

A German Proofing Mark on a weapon confirming the successful completion of Trials involving the firing of cartridges with a force greater than standard bullets. It varies depending on the powder used in the test (black or smokeless, otherwise known as nitro) and the type of weapon on which it was applied.

Used in Ulm since 1952.

Acknowledgment Type: Final Proof Mark for each weapon type. The sign that replaced the previous signs B, U, N with a crown. Probation mark, which means that you have successfully passed the test with nitro powder.
